SASIA Clubhouse
A Perfect Place for a Gathering
The SASIA Clubhouse – our St. Augustine South community center – at 709 Royal Rd. is set in our one-acre park. St. Johns County Parks and Recreation owns 1.34 acres adjacent to the east side of the SASIA property, which extends from Martin Rd at the north end down behind the homes on the 800 block of Royal Rd. to Tanager Rd. The combined properties provide an excellent recreation area for our community, with a public shelter, picnic shelter, playing fields, shade garden, and parking lot.
The clubhouse was built with voluntary effort, sponsorship, donations of materials, community volunteer time, and cash donations in 1963. It provides nearly 2300 ft of open space with a well-equipped kitchen. As well as being home to SASIA Board meetings on the first Wednesday of the month and SASIA Community meetings open to anyone, the clubhouse hosts many SASIA community events on the third Wednesday of each month.
When not used for SASIA events, the clubhouse is available to rent at affordable rates. Chairs and long folding tables are offered for use by renters. It is ideal for meetings, children's parties, quinceañera celebrations, graduation celebrations, receptions, and other indoor events. We have hosted many wedding receptions with the shade garden under our mature oak trees, used as a backdrop for photographs.
Rental Rates
- The minimum rental fee is 4 hours for $250.00 plus tax.
- An additional $75.00 fee plus tax will be added for each additional hour of use.
- Renters are responsible for setup and breakdown during their rental time frame.
- A security deposit of $250.00 is required to secure the reservation. This is refunded following the event as long as the clubhouse is left clean with no damages. It is non-refundable in cases of rental cancellation or damage/loss to SASIA property.
