Set Sail in the South

St. Augustine South hosts two boats ramps off Shore Drive. Douglas C. Crane Park in the north end and Shore Drive Boat Ramp in the southern region. The boat ramps and park are owned and managed by St Johns County Parks and Recreation department which is responsible for the upkeep of our beautiful waterfront lands, parks, and boat ramps. The contract for mowing of the grass and landscape maintenance is currently awarded to VerdeGo a local company specializing in commercial landscape & maintenance.

Douglas C. Crane Park

Douglas C. Crane Park offers two ramps for access to the intracoastal for small private crafts. The concrete ramp has two single lanes leading into the brackish water. It was renovated to provide additional parking, a floating dock and protection to the shoreline from damage from egregious driving of motor vehicles on the shore. There are portable restrooms and a picnic table at this park. There is no fee and the park is open during daylight hours. It is located at 1039 Shore Drive, south of Flagler Hospital.

Shore Drive Boat Ramp offers a concrete paved boat ramp as well as a courtesy dock with an area to hand dock into Moultrie Creek. This location features a shady paved pathway and wooden boardwalk, both of which offer water views from high on a hill. The walk is handicapped accessible with dedicated handicapped parking space at the boat ramp. The long stretch of boardwalk leads to steps that will take you down to the sandy shore. There is no fee and the park is open during daylight hours. It is located at 4805 Shore Drive, in the southern region of SAS.
